The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 553 cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, bringing the running total to 165,624 since the pandemic struck the state.
Hospitalizations also continued to creep up slightly to 578, an increase of 15 from yesterday. The number of patients on ventilators fell by three to 80.
The death toll from the coronanvirus in Louisiana stood at 5,308, an increase of 10.
