The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 450 cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, bringing the running tally to 166,033 since the pandemic struck the state.
After going up in the last few updates, hospitalizations fell by 25 to 553. The number of patients on ventilators was down one to 79.
The death toll rose by 13 to 5,321.
