Louisiana's total count of reported COVID-19 cases was at 169,044 Tuesday, after the Louisiana Department of Health added 506 cases.
Hospitalizations jumped by 20 to 567 with the number of patients on ventilators unchanged at 71.
The death toll from the the coronavirus in Louisiana was 5,402 with six additional deaths reported.
