The Louisiana Department of Health said Tuesday that the number of COVID-19 cases statewide jumped by 1,150 to a new total of 184,769.
Deaths blamed on the coronavirus increased by 17 to 5,737.
The number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 jumped by 23 to 619, with 84 patients on ventilators, an increase of 14.
