Officials say a veteran NOPD sergeant has been arrested after crashing his patrol car into another vehicle yesterday on I-10.
According to reports, NOPD sergeant Daniel McMullen was heading westbound on I-10 when he struck an SUV and flipped his patrol car over onto its roof.
The SUV driver was treated at the scene while McMullen was taken to the hospital, where a blood alcohol test showed he was over the legal limit.
McMullen has been placed on Emergency Suspension while an investigation is conducted.
