Gerard LeBlanc is stepping into a newly vacated seat on the Jefferson Parish School Board.
On Tuesday, the board unanimously appointed LeBlanc to Mark Morgan's former position as a representative for 1st District.
Officials say LeBlanc will remain on the board until a March special election is held.
