The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 2,924 COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total tally since the pandemic began to 264,191 cases.
Hospitalizations were once again on the rise with 60 more patients statewide, bringing the total to 1,589. Patients on ventilators numbered 167, down 13 from Thursday.
The death toll added 43 to its total, which stood at 6,767.
