The New Orleans Pelicans are ready to open their shortened NBA preseason tonight against the Miami Heat.
The Pelicans finished the 2019-2020 season with a record of 30-42 and qualified for the return-to-play bubble after the season was paused due to COVID-19.
During the off-season, the Pelicans drafted point guard Kira Lewis, Jr. out of Alabama to join rising star Zion Williamson and new head coach Stan Van Gundy.
Tip-off tonight from American Airlines Arena in Miami is set for 6 p.m.
