A St. Tammany Parish School Board member is stepping down after being arrested last month in Covington for shoplifting again.
Board officials say Sharon Lo Drucker sent an email Monday announcing her intention to resign following the news of her arrest for the second time in the last 18 months.
In the email, Drucker said that she is receiving medical care that prevents her from serving her role, calling the health matter "extremely personal and confidential."
As for her shoplifting incident, Drucker is scheduled for her arraignment on January 20.
