The Louisiana Department of Health reported 3,946 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, bringing the total number of reported cases since the pandemic began to 304,485.
LDH also updated the total number of coronavirus vaccine doses administered to 37,969, up 5,203 from the previous update. No vaccine series have yet to be completed in Phase 1A of the rollout.
Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 jumped by 92 to 1,689 with 218 patients on ventilators, an increase of 17.
The death toll rose by 61 to 7,397.
