The Louisiana Department of Health reported 4,454 COVID-19 overnight, with hospitalizations rising by 83 to 1,974.
The number of patients on ventilators fell by two to 205.
The death toll from the coronavirus increased by 50 to a total of 7,635.
Over 11,000 additional doses of vaccine were administered statewide since last week for a total of 56,452 since distribution began. Louisiana is currently in Phase 1B, Tier 1 of that process which includes those 70 and older.
