The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 1,402 COVID-19 cases Monday. The current number of total cases reported since the pandemic began stood at 348,234.
The death toll increased by 45 to 7,918.
Hospitalizations were once again on the rise, up 22 overnight to 1,982 with seven more patients on ventilators for a total of 232.
