The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 5,318 COVID-19 cases Thursday, including a backlog of 916 cases dating back to November 9, 2020.
The total number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana since the pandemic began stood at 361,148. The death toll rose by 58 to 8,080.
The number of hospitalizations statewide dipped by 54 to 1,975 while patients on ventilators increased by 10 to 245.
41,679 additional vaccine doses were given since Tuesday. So far, the state has administered 201,377 with 30,988 vaccine series completed.
