The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 2,369 COVID-19 cases Friday, which brought the statewide total since the pandemic began to 397,276 cases.
The death toll rose by 53 to 8,801 on LDH's coronavirus dashboard.
The number of hospitalizations dropped by 44 to 1,546 with eight fewer patients on ventilators for a total of 198.
