State health officials said Monday the number of patients hospitalized and those on ventilators due to COVID-19 in Louisiana continued to decrease.
Hospitalizations numbered 1,403, a drop of 13 from Sunday while ventilator use fell 12 to 187.
The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 899 coronavirus cases to bring the total number to 401,591. The death toll rose by 53 to 8.912.
