Voting Now Open For Pelicans Project Transforming Old Backboards Into Art

NOLA basketball and art fans are being asked to vote on their favorite of eight backboards designed by local artists.

Fans can begin voting on the Pelicans website for their top choice, with the winning artist receiving a commission to design a full basketball court in New Orleans.

The Pelicans teamed up on the project with renowned NOLA-based visual artist Brandan B-Mike Odums' BE Collective to capture the city's ability to rebound from disasters.

The backboards are also currently on display at the Smoothie King Center.
