Jefferson Parish is looking to honor residents who died of COVID-19.
Parish Councilman Byron Lee says they plan to construct two memorials in Kenner and Marrero next year to remember those who have died.
Those who lost a loved one to COVID-19 may submit the name of a relative or friend, the victim's date of birth and date of death.
As of Tuesday, 884 residents in the parish have died of the respiratory disease.
