Louisiana is keeping all of its congressional seats in 2022 following newly released data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
Acting Census Director Ron Jarmin released new state population counts on Monday, with seven states losing seats and six states gaining seats.
Congressional seats are set at 435, which are then distributed by where the nation's population has shifted among the states.
California, New York, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia will lose a seat, with Colorado, Florida, Montana, North Carolina, and Oregon gaining one seat while Texas gains two.
