The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority is rolling out a new fleet of buses.
RTA unveiled 22 new buses on Wednesday with brand new designs to replace vehicles that are no longer working.
The new buses sport a purple and gray color scheme, featuring the slogan "let the good times roll" in French.
“Introducing the new buses brings the RTA another step closer to delivering a world class transit system New Orleanians deserve,” said Alex Z. Wiggins, RTA CEO. “RTA is excited to introduce our new buses into service with a new design and color scheme that not only reflects the culture of New Orleans, but also a new era of the agency which is now under local control and management.”
The new fleet is expected to hit the streets today.
