It will be a busy weekend for police agencies across Louisiana.
The 4th of July is one of the busiest travel times of the year and thousands of Louisianans will be taking to the roads to celebrate the holiday.
Louisiana State Police are increasing patrols and say the increase in traffic and alcohol consumption often leads to crashes.
In 2019 nearly 40 percent of deadly crashes in Louisiana involved impaired drivers.
