The NOPD says they are working with the Public Works Parking Division to increase parking enforcement in the French Quarter.
Officials said yesterday the move is in response to complaints of vehicles on neutral ground in the Central Business District, Warehouse District, and the French Quarter.
The NOPD says since July 2 they have issued almost 500 parking citations to vehicles parked illegally in the Eighth District.
