New Orleans Public Schools To Require Masks While Indoors

New Orleans Public School officials say they will require all students, employees, and visitors to wear masks indoors regardless of vaccination status.

NOLA-PS medical advisor Dr. Benjamin Springgate said yesterday that the mask requirement is necessary out of an abundance of caution as the Delta variant spreads across Louisiana.

Supt. Dr. Henderson Lewis, Jr. also urged that all students 12-and-over and their parents get vaccinated as the best way to combat the new surge.
