The Multi-State Lottery Association is ready to add a third weekly drawing to the Powerball Lottery at the end of the month.
The lottery has been preparing to add a drawing on Mondays beginning August 23, with all other aspects of the game, including its matrix, prize levels, and operations remaining the same.
The new Monday drawing will become the third drawing of the week, along with current drawings on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Louisiana joined the Powerball in 1995 and Mega Millions in 2011.
