The Louisiana Department of Health reported a new record high in COVID-19 hospitalizations Wednesday, with 2,247 being treated statewide. Of those, 224 are on ventilators.
Ninety percent of current COVID hospitalizations are of those not fully vaccinated.
LDH also reported 4,778 additional cases and an increase in the death toll of 44 to 11,129.
