The latest surge of COVID-19 is continuing in Louisiana.
The state Department of Health reported 6,088 new cases Tuesday, as hospitalizations rose to 2,859. Of those patients, 338 are on ventilators.
The death toll from the coronavirus rose 93 to 11,353. This was the highest one-day total since January, said LDH.
Officials encourage all residents to give a COVID-19 vaccine to help stop the spread of the delta variant. An indoor mask mandate remains in effect.
