The New Orleans Saints are adding journeyman kicker Brett Maher to the roster to replace injured starter Wil Lutz.
The team announced Monday that Lutz needs to undergo surgery on a core injury and would be out indefinitely.
Maher has kicked in the CFL and in the NFL with Dallas, Cleveland, Washington, Houston, New York, and Arizona.
Maher has connected on 74% of his field goals, and his career-long is 63 yards.
