Two popular Louisiana festivals are being canceled due to the current surge in COVID-19 cases across the state.
On Tuesday, the organizers of the Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival and the New Orleans Beignet Festival announced their events were not happening next month as planned.
Officials from both festivals said they hoped to hold the events again in 2022.
