The Louisiana Department of Health reported 2,729 hospitalized with COVID-19 Thursday, a slight drop overnight.
However, ventilator use rose slightly to 480 patients.
LDH also reported 5,131 new COVID-19 cases and 72 additional deaths.
The death toll in Louisiana from the coronavirus stood at 12,298.
Over 4 million doses of COVID vaccines have now been administered statewide with 59,679 given since Monday.
