Two New Orleans City Council members are endorsing each other in next month's primary despite running against each other.
District C Councilwoman Kristin Palmer and District D Councilman Jared Brossett say the co-endorsements are happening because both are progressive leaders. The pair are running for the Division Two At-Large seat.
Palmer and Brossett are also trying to make sure undecided voters do not support former state Senator JP Morrell who is also running for the spot, citing concern about Baton Rouge lobbyists getting involved in City Council politics.
