The pandemic is exacerbating an already dire labor shortage situation in the oil and gas industry.
Now, companies are all but begging people to return to work, hosting several job fairs and hiring events across the state.
Industry experts estimate there are roughly 115,000 jobs in the oil and gas industries currently available.
One reason experts say the industry is struggling to hire so much is workers aging out and younger people not showing any interest in the field.
