Officials are identifying a juvenile found shot to death on Monday morning in the Michoud area.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office identified the victim on Wednesday as 12-year-old Derrick Cash.
New Orleans police discovered the boy around 10 a.m. lying on the ground near a car on Michoud Boulevard near the former site of Six Flags New Orleans.
Cash had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No word yet about a suspect or a motive.
