An investigation is underway into the death of an inmate at St. Tammany Parish correctional center on Sunday.
The Sheriff's Office says deputies noticed 52-year-old inmate Marcus Morris needed medical attention, and gave him first aid until the ambulance arrived.
Morris was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The St. Tammany Parish coroner's office is planning an autopsy to determine Morris's cause of death.
