The AAA Weekend Gas Watch says the statewide average gas price in Louisiana is $3.01 a gallon for regular unleaded.
That price is up two cents from a week ago, and is 93 cents higher than a year ago.
The national average is $3.35.
The supply and demand for gasoline are both slightly higher, but elevated crude oil prices are keeping pump prices high as well.
The average price at the pump in Baton Rouge is $3.06. In New Orleans, it's $3.09.
