New Orleans Vaccination Mandate Now Requires Two Shots

Stiffer pandemic guidelines are now in effect in New Orleans as of Tuesday.

Anyone five-years-old and up is required to be fully vaccinated or show a negative test before entering public places like bars and restaurants.

Fully vaccinated means both shots, except for people who got the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

In addition, all NOLA Public School students are required to be vaccinated.

More than 100 plaintiffs sued the city Monday in an effort to block the mandates.

A city spokesman says they'll be in place through Mardi Gras.
