U.S. Labor Secretary Marty Walsh is showing his support for a New Orleans jobs program created in response to the pandemic and other disasters.
Walsh visited the city on Monday for a roundtable event with Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Governor John Bel Edwards, Congressman Troy Carter, and others at Delgado Community College.
The jobs program is known as Resilience Force, and the city has used it to put people idled by the pandemic back to work.
