Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards supports the Louisiana House's decision to create a select committee looking at Ronald Greene's death.
Edwards says he hopes the investigation will be nonpartisan and look at how Louisiana State Police can keep reforming.
He also encouraged transparency and is sure the committee will find he didn't interfere in any investigation of Greene's 2019 death.
Greene died during a traffic stop involving state police.
Edwards said last week he was told by the LSP leaders about Greene's death at the time but didn't know any other details.
