The AAA Weekend Gas Watch says the statewide average gas price in Louisiana is $3.24 a gallon for regular unleaded.
That price is up ten cents from a week ago, and is $1.03 higher than a year ago.
The average price at the pump in New Orleans is $3.23. In the Baton Rouge area, it's $3.28. The national average is $3.48.
Demand for gasoline is up and supplies are down, but rising crude prices are the main factor pushing pump prices higher.
