Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams's office plans to appeal a judge's drastic reduction of the bond for a first-degree murder defendant.

Criminal District Court Judge Angel Harris on Monday reduced the bond for 20-year-old Byrielle Hebert from $302,000 to $7,600.

Hebert is one of three suspects in the 2019 murder of a 63-year-old grandmother who was shot in the head.

Assistant District Attorney Alex Calenda immediately said the state intends to appeal the judge's decision.
