A 15-year-old suspect is in custody and accused of firing a stray bullet that wounded a parade-goer in Houma over the weekend.
Police say two groups of people got into a fight near the Krewe of Aquarius parade on Saturday evening.
One of the people in the fight fired a shot that wounded a man who wasn't involved. He was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the torso.
Police caught the teen suspect, who reportedly had a gun on him.
He's charged with attempted second-degree murder and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
