The Louisiana legislature is considering a new bill to charge women with murder for getting abortions.
The U.S. Supreme Court may soon overturn Roe v. Wade, but Republican State Representative Danny McCormick says it's time to take the issue to the next step.
A spokesman for Louisiana Right to Life says it's been their consistent position that those who perform abortions are to be held accountable, not the women having abortions.
McCormick's bill passed out of a House committee last week with a 7-2 vote and is up for discussion this week.
