A 16-year-old person of interest in a New Orleans homicide is under arrest after a chase that ended in a crash in Baton Rouge on Tuesday.
State police received a report that a carjacked Jeep had been spotted at the scene of a homicide in Orleans Parish on Sunday.
Troopers tried to pull over the Jeep on I-10 westbound in Ascension Parish, and a chase resulted.
The chase ended when the Jeep ran into a state police car on Siegen Lane at I-10.
Officers arrested the teen for illegally possessing a handgun and a number of traffic offenses.
