Louisiana will be one of the first four states to receive federal money under the Capital Projects Fund.
The U.S. Treasury Department made the announcement on Tuesday.
The state will receive nearly $180 million through the American Rescue Plan to connect more than 88,000 homes and businesses to affordable, high-speed Internet service.
