New Orleans City Councilman Eugene Green is proposing an ordinance that outlaws the performance of stunts and donuts in a vehicle.
If the ordinance passes, the first offense will incur a $1,000 fine. After a second offense, a driver will forfeit his vehicle until he pays a $5,000 fine.
The Criminal Justice Committee will consider the proposal on June 15. If approved, it will go before the full City Council for a vote.
