A musician is suing Mariah Carey over her seasonal favorite "All I Want for Christmas is You."
Vince Vance and the Valiants released their single "All I Want for Christmas is You" in 1989, five years before Carey hit it big with a different song that has the same title.
Vance filed a civil complaint on Friday in a New Orleans federal court against Carey, her producer, and Sony.
Vance seeks a total of $60 million for copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and unjust enrichment through misappropriation.
