Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry wants the state Supreme Court to dissolve a temporary restraining order against the state's "trigger law" banning abortion.
Landry filed a petition on Saturday on behalf of himself and Louisiana Department of Health Secretary Courtney Phillips.
A judge in New Orleans issued the TRO, which prevents Landry and Phillips from enforcing the abortion ban.
A Shreveport abortion clinic had sued the state over the 2022 Reaffirmation of Human Life Act.
