New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell will not go to Singapore for the World Cities Summit.
A mayoral spokesperson says Cantrell wants to stay in town so she can speak with police officers on what they need.
Cantrell was supposed to be in Singapore to discuss climate change.
It would have been her third international trip this summer.
