Orleans Parish Sheriff's deputies are not commenting on a joint operation which ended a jail protest.
Deputies and the Louisiana Department of Corrections staff took six inmates into custody at the Justice Center.
A letter believed to be from the inmates complained about being locked in their cells for 20 hours a day and demanded more reading material and a second TV.
