Southern University System officials are saying never mind about the return of a mask mandate to their campuses.
A spokesperson says masks will no longer be required at most Southern University campuses, but are still strongly encouraged.
The university had announced on Sunday that masks would be required on campuses starting the next day.
The one exception to the latest guideline is the Southern University Law Center, which will mandate masks for indoor spaces on campus.
