Attention Returns To Atlantic For Possible Tropical Activity

The National Hurricane Center is once again watching the Atlantic for future tropical development.

"Showers and thunderstorms have become a little more concentrated today in association with a tropical wave located a few hundred miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands," said the NHC. "Environmental conditions could support some slow development of this system while it moves westward to west-northwestward at around 10 to 15 mph across the tropical Atlantic during the next several days."

There is no current threat to Louisiana or the Gulf Coast from this system.

The 2022 Atlantic hurricane season ends November 30.
