A federal judge isn't blocking Gov. John Bel Edwards's plan to move two dozen incarcerated teens to the state prison at Angola.
In the ruling issued on Friday, a U.S. District Judge said she doesn't like the idea of transferring the teens to Angola, but agreed there's no better choice.
Friday's ruling was in response to a civil lawsuit a group of advocates filed in Baton Rouge against the governor and several other officials.
The suit asked the judge for a temporary restraining order against the plan and an injunction to block it permanently.
